Larapinta 2010
With all the lovely rain, the landscape has been blessed with a rejuvenated feeling. It's a lovely, refreshing environment to be spending the winter months and our stunning new permanent campsite is making life very luxurious for our campers. Checkout our new onsite shower - a first for Larapinta camping.
Some highlights so far have been swimming at Ellery Creek Big Hole; hearing the distant howl of dingoes when we're relaxing around the campfire at night;our site is home to some gorgeous little native quails; red-tailed black-cockatoos squawking outrageously; and at the base of our rock wall we've seen some rare snails. Unfortunately coming with the territory, is an ever-clever raven, who watches over our kitchen during the day waiting for any opportunity to invade – luckily a scarecrow created on a recent trip is keeping him at bay.
