Led by wildlife photographer and zoologist Mark Carter, this nature photography tour will take place on the Larapinta trail in the beautiful Red Centre of Australia.

Using our private campsite near the Ochre Pits in the West MacDonnell Ranges as basecamp for the week, this tour promises to showcase the plants, animals and landscape that make central Australia so inviting. Alongside a wonderful photographic itinerary, we are treated to amazing food and boutique wines, and a level of luxury few other companies offer in this remote region.

While we traverse some of the best sections of the Larapinta trail, we will spend long stretches exploring specific parts of the track with time to stop and capture the local flora and fauna.

About Mark Carter

Mark has been living and breathing the wildlife of the central ranges for over a decade and knows the landscape and its wildlife intimately. With him we explore and photograph deep red gorges, verdant riverbeds, soaring ridges and the widest bluest skies in the world. We visit Ormiston Gorge, Standley Chasm, Tnorala Conservation Reserve and Mount Sonder Lookout, all of which offer endless opportunities to capture this magnificent landscape and its diverse wild animal population, from the gentle Black-footed Rock Wallaby to the brawn and guile of the Peregrine Falcon. After dusk we get creative with star-filled desert skies in night photography sessions.

Alongside a wonderful photographic itinerary, we are treated to amazing food and boutique wines, and a level of luxury few other companies offer in this remote region.
