Vana believes that everything contributes to one’s wellbeing – architecture, nature, design, music, art, aromas, sense of service and flavours. Simply being at Vana brings about a sense of wellbeing.

In January 2014 Vana Retreat after many years of thought, dedication, creativity and building quietly and humbly opened its doors to those seeking a meaningful and authentic retreat for wellness. It is a stunning modern architectural and interior design masterpiece where attention to detail and meaning is paramount. Comfort levels are sublime and practitioners in the fields of Ayurveda, Chinese Medicine, yoga, fitness, Spa, Tibetan healing and natural therapies are of an exceptional calibre.

Located in the foothills of the Himalaya near the town of Dehradun and only a short flight from Delhi, the retreat is perfect for a stand alone journey to India or as part of a more comprehensive itinerary. The sacred Ganges River is a short distance away and an evening excursion to view the Aarti Ceremony is a highlight – that’s if you can drag yourself away from this little piece of heaven.

The focus of Vana is not profit making or competing to establish itself as ‘the most prominent in the wellness business’ but rather to offer guests a place for achieving genuine wellbeing, restoration and rejuvenation.  A place to explore the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual aspects of wellbeing.

Set on 21 acres of gardens and surrounded by Sal Forest Reserve, one is cosseted from the outside world. You can practice ayurveda and yoga in their purest form, along with a variety of natural therapies, spa treatments, aqua therapies, fitness, meditation and nutrition. Vana has more than fifty treatment and consultation rooms, two private yoga studios and a group yoga studio, an outdoor yoga temple, an indoor and outdoor pool, wet areas, watsu and a state-of-the-art gymnasium.
