The breathtaking landscape of Bhutan is just one of its highlights along with stunning accommodation, sensational guides and lodge staff and overwhelmingly friendly people. Some of my favourite images from our recent tour in Bhutan. Happiness is a given and we loved every moment and unique experience while being welcomed and cared for in the magnificent Himalayan Kingdom of Bhutan.

If you have always wanted a Gentle ramble through the stunning Cotswolds, then we are delighted to share with you our new small group journey departing this August.
Beginning in the elegant city of Bath, this delightful tour combines time in many of the storybook villages of the Cotswolds, glorious day walks and spectacular accommodation and dining to nourish us.
Visit some of the most extraordinary private homes and gardens of the region.

Our final destination on our culinary tour was Kyu

Our final destination on our culinary tour was Kyushu Island and the cities of Nagasaki and Fukuoka. Our visit to the Nagasaki Peace Park was extremely moving and our exploration of Dejima, an artificial island off Nagasaki that served as a trading post for the Portuguese (1570–1639) and subsequently the Dutch (1641–1858) was fascinating. For 220 years, it was the central conduit for foreign trade and cultural exchange with Japan during the isolationist Edo period (1600–1869), and the only Japanese territory open to westerners.
We also managed to indulge in the culinary delights of this beautiful region. And we were fortunate to see the first blooms of spring in Fukuoka.

Kyoto was a real treat this trip. Winter in Japan is the perfect time to explore some of the most outstanding sights free from the tourist crowds. Our visit to Ginkakuji (Silver Pavillion) was stunning and a relaxed stroll through the Nishiki Market discovering its fabulous produce and culinary treats was a highlight.
We enjoyed a delightful dinner at Toki restaurant in Hotel The Mitsui on our final night in Kyoto.

Fabulous to be back in Tokyo on our 2025 culinary

Fabulous to be back in Tokyo on our 2025 culinary tour with chef Michael Ryan from Provenance Restaurant. With a delightful group of 9 guests we’ve explored some exciting new dining options and enjoyed three nights at our stunning hotel, The Mandarin Oriental. Off to Kanazawa this morning to discover more culinary and cultural highlights.
