This was a wonderful trip with enormous variety of experiences that would not have been easily available to an independent traveller. Everything was extremely well organised and ran like very relaxed clockwork! The hotels were generally excellent, the food delicious and Jim the guide was knowledgeable, considerate of all and fun to be with. I didn’t know much about this part of the world and found its history all so interesting -the beautiful architecture, the sophisticated use of water during Europe’s “dark ages” and, at least for some centuries, the religious tolerance shown.
